RSS Subscriptions

While earning my masters degree, I learned about RSS, but I really didn't feel like I had a handle on it. Maybe because just like so many classes, I was teaching at the same time, so I was just trying to get through each class. However, this time around it was presented in a different way that made me stop and think about the possibilities of using this technology.
After reading an article in class, I realized that I could use the RSS subscriptions to keep up-to-date with my students' writings, especially the blogs. In addition, I will also add the school newspaper website, so I know exactly when my students are updating the site.
Today, I went in to find out about accessing my reader from my phone as well. I just hope that the RSS doesn't take the turn that Twitter did for me. It lasted for about 8 months and then died off. I enjoy having access to all of the technology; however, sometimes I just want to turn it all off.

    Hey!
    It's me, Karla.

This blog page was ORIGINALLY created for my EDUC 463 The Internet and K-12 Education course at Penn State Lehigh Valley. However, as I was re-vamping my website in the spring of 2014, I decided to continue to utilize the blog, but more for personal purposes.
