Today in my graduate class, we explored Google Documents in preparation for a collaborative writing project. I love using Google Documents because it is so user friendly. That is why I teach my students how to use Google Documents during the first two weeks of a new semester. Then students use Google Documents to complete homework and share it with me. Karla, I agree, the virtual accessibility and "portability" is a huge advantage! Would've saved me a lot of scrambling across computers and printers in college.

Mary,
Google Docs is great because you can collaborate with the student. S/he can see you fix grammar errors in real time, you can instant message each other, and you can leave comments. I also like it because you can see when students have been actually completing their writing. Is it last minute, or did they do it days ago and have not looked at it since? Plus, there is no more--I left it at home--excuses because it is in the 'cloud' of Google Docs.

I really appreciate your work especially the research part of it which made the whole point very easy to understand.
