Grading Policy

Students are held to a strict policy of achievement. Below outlines the grading for the class. This course utilizes collaborative grouping which helps students to rationalize answers prior to submitting assignments for grading.
(this includes but is not limited to: weekly vocabulary packet assignments, individual assignments, completion of study guides, etc.) = 50%
(this includes but is not limited to: submission of section packets) = 25%

(this includes but is not limited to: essays, weekly vocabulary tests, pre- and post-tests, etc.) = 25%

Vocabulary

Below are the weekly list of words that will be assigned and tested during the class.
Use a dictionary (either in book format or online) to obtain the information. In addition, you will need to create an original sentence demonstrating understanding of the word, its part of speech, and definition.
