Parent/Student Contact Information

Your teacher is requesting email contact information that will be used for communication throughout the course.

Remind System

Students and Parents are asked to sign up for the Reminder System, which is a two-way communicator that enables the teacher to send text messages relative to class, and students/parents can contact the teacher. Please know that cell phone numbers are not exchanged. All messages are archived in the online tool.

Sign in to Schoology

Schoology is the Learning Management System (LMS) that we will use for your hybrid online course. Use your BASD credentials to log into the system. You will use the first half of your email (do not use the basdschools.org portion) along with your password.

Take a tour and become familiar with the system. Be sure your computer has the requirements needed. You may find you need to update Java or Adobe Readers. You will receive a message in August that will require you to go into the system and begin to complete the orientation. 

How to set up Google Drive

Organization is key for all people. In order to keep your online documents organized, click the button for instructions on how to organize your Google Drive using folders.

Google Hangouts for Conferencing

A rich online experience includes connecting synchronously. While we will do that face-to-face in the classroom, I will also be using Google Hangout to connect with students when class is not in session. Thus, become familiar with Google Hangout. We will be using our BASD credentials to access this online tool. 
Note: If this does not work, notify your teacher. This may/may not be accessible through the BASD Google applications.

Hey students...it's me...Mrs. E

Don't you just hate it when you are searching for someone and 3 or 4 names come up exactly the same? Well, there is a sure fire way to make sure you can connect with the right people. PHOTOS, peep! Yes, I am expecting that all of the online tools that you use contain a headshot photo of you. This will ensure that I am connecting with the correct students. You should also see a photo of me. If you ever come across an application in which my photo does not appear, please contact me. And thank you, for choosing to ride the virtual classroom with me ;)
